Abstract:
A quantification of the organization of SOM states is of interest from the viewpoint of theory as well as from that of application. The paper studies some properties of different organization measures for SOMs. Their behaviour is investigated and discussed for Maps with different topology trained with an equidistribution on the 2-dimensional unit square.
